Sahara India Refund Portal Launched
The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India launched the Sahara India Refund Portal on 18 July 2023. The CRCS will disburse Rs. 5,000 crores to the legitimate depositors of the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies.
The Sahara Group had raised funds from millions of investors through various schemes, but it later defaulted on its payments. The government intervened and appointed the CRCS to oversee the refund process.
The CRCS Sahara Refund Portal is a secure and convenient way for depositors to apply for their refunds. To apply, depositors need to provide their personal details, such as their name, address, PAN number, and investment details. They also need to upload a copy of their investment documents.
Once an application is submitted, the CRCS will review it and process the refund within 45 days. The refund amount will be credited to the depositor's bank account.
